Sparkman Orthodontics is seeking a CFO to be accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the practice. The ideal candidate will be able to develop long-term financial and operational strategies and the metrics used to gauge progress and company growth. This individual will also create and maintain control systems designed to preserve the organization's assets and report accurate financial results. The CFO must be an organized multitasker who is able to handle the accounting of several practices and must be able to inspire confidence in the organization in order to scale and meet long term goals.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees financial health of the company; drives company results from both an operational and financial perspective working closely with the owner and other leadership team members.
- Measures actual budgetary performance (revenue, expense, staffing) against standards and ensures variances are within established targets.
- Monitors financial performance of two companies and all locations. Develops and implements budgetary processes, protocols, policies, and procedures with a focus on efficiency and scalability.
- Engages in financial planning and analysis by evaluating trends and revenue opportunities. Forecasts future profitability and identify and addresses challenges to growth model. Identifies opportunities for improvement, cost reduction and systems enhancement.
- Analyzes and interprets data and metrics, including monthly P&L analysis; measures and reports on operational performance and develops plans to improve relevant key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Implements accounting controls and maintains compliance with all federal tax laws and reporting. Reports on company financials to owners and creates accountability within the organization.
- Partners with leadership team to accomplish short and long-term financial goals; sets realistic goals for growth, performance, and profitability. Oversees assets with a focus on risk mitigation and forecasting.
- Provides management to staff and guidance in alignment with the business plan and strategic vision; leads employees by example by reinforcing a culture of excellence; establishes policies that promote company culture and vision.
- Maintains positive, productive relationships with partners/vendors/affiliates; always represent the company positively through a success-oriented and professional demeanor. Negotiates competitive contracts to ensure best purchasing protocols, IT management and other contract-based relationships.
- Oversees acquisition, mergers and development of de novo practices and maintains due diligence.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to create short- and long-term strategic plans and yearly operating and financial plans and forecasts.
- Experience budgeting and auditing.
- Must be detail oriented, with an ability to tackle complex assignments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite software.
- Proficiency with accounting software, word processing and spreadsheets.
Education and Experience:
- MBA or bachelors degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience
- Certified Public Accountant certification
- 3+ years of accounting and financial management practices, including auditing experience (preferably in the healthcare field)
- Management experience, preferred.

Orthodontic Insurance Coordinator
We are looking for an Orthodontic Insurance Coordinator to join our amazing team.
The Insurance Coordinator works in the Financial Office to ensure that all insurance is properly filed for a patient’s orthodontic treatment. They are responsible for working with both patients and insurance companies to ensure that benefits are being utilized properly. The ideal candidate will have great organization skills, will pay close attention to detail, and will maintain a positive demeanor when working with patients.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Verifying patient benefits
- Submitting payments to patient ledgers
- Reviewing past due insurance claims and doing extensive follow-up on insurance
delinquencies - Submitting claims to carriers via electronically, fax or mail
- Adjusting unpaid and / or overpaid insurance balances
- Filing predetermination claims
- Filing work in progress claims
- Reconciling reports from our payment processor
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Google drive
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., printers, scanners, phones, etc.)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- College degree preferred
- Minimum 2 -3 years of insurance experience
- Previous dental/orthodontic experience preferred
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard
office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. The noise
level is moderate. - This is a largely sedentary role and sitting will be required for long periods of time

Sparkman Orthodontics is looking for a full-time New Patient Coordinator to join our team! The New Patient Coordinator communicates with patients about available treatment plans, educates the patient about their treatment, and provides patient follow-up to the orthodontist’s diagnosis. This person’s
primary responsibility is converting patient leads into actual patients and working to make feasible financial arrangements. The ideal candidate for this position has an orthodontic background and experience working with patients of all ages.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet patients upon arrival and make them feel comfortable
- Advise and educate patients on recommended treatment plans
- Provide patients with proposed treatment plans and cost estimates
- Follow up with new patient leads
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive and positive attitude and quick learner
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform math skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures preferred
