Spark Clear Aligners
Our office is proud to offer Spark clear aligners, an excellent corrective treatment that provides patients of all ages with high-level comfort and improved aesthetics. Spark clear aligner treatment consists of a series of clear aligners planned by one of our orthodontists to guide your teeth and jaw into place for the perfect smile. Each clear aligner is printed in a material called TruGEN™, famous for being clear and highly stain resistant. Compared to other clear aligner brands, Spark aligners stay clear longer, giving you a gorgeous smile during every stage of treatment.
Spark aligners apply consistent pressure to your teeth, so they gradually shift into place over time. We will slightly adjust every new set you receive until you reach your desired results. Many of our patients who’ve had Spark aligners report they barely can tell they have their appliance in during the day. This is because Spark aligners are designed with polished edges so patients can enjoy a comfortable treatment experience.
Invisalign
Invisalign is a revolutionary treatment that has redefined orthodontics by providing a virtually invisible appliance as effective as traditional metal braces. This corrective treatment involves a series of clear aligners molded to fit your mouth perfectly as they gradually shift your teeth into place for your dream smile.
We begin this treatment by taking a scan of your mouth with our iTero scanner and creating a 3D model of your smile. We use this model to plan out your treatment and show you the projected results of Invisalign treatment. Once you and one of our doctors decide on the course of your treatment, we’ll have the Invisalign aligners printed based on the model of your teeth. Every two weeks, you’ll receive a new set of aligners that have been slightly changed to further shift your teeth. Invisalign is printed using a thermoplastic material that industry-leading scientists designed to be so comfortable patients’ can’t tell they’re wearing their appliance.
How Often Do I Have to Wear My Aligners?
Invisalign and Spark clear aligners work because they apply consistent pressure to your teeth, so they shift into the desired position. If you leave your aligners out for too long, they could move back to their original spots and prolong your treatment. For clear aligners to be the most effective, it’s essential you wear your appliance for at least 20-22 hours a day. I
Invisalign for teens features a compliance indicator consisting of small symbols located toward the back of the appliance. As time goes on, the mark will fade if you wear your aligners consistently. If you aren’t wearing your aligners enough, the symbol will still be visible after two weeks. This symbol gives you better insight into whether or not you’re wearing your aligners enough to achieve your dream smile in a short timeline.
How Long Do Clear Aligners Take?
Treatment time varies depending on the extent of your orthodontics goals and needs. However, most patients complete clear aligner treatment within 6-18 months.
How Do Clear Aligners Work?
Spark and Invisalign treatment consist of a series of clear aligners that fit snugly over your teeth. With each new set you receive, the appliance will be slightly adjusted to apply further pressure to your teeth to move them into the correct position.
What Happens If My Teen Loses an Aligner?
Between being late for class, rushing to practice, and going to a friend’s house after school, we know that teens never sit still for long, and they have a lot of opportunities to misplace their appliances. However, there is no need to worry if your teen lost their appliance or accidentally threw it away with their lunch. As soon as you notice it’s missing, call our office and let us know so we can either get them a replacement set or give them their next set in the series. While there’s no need to panic, you must let us know as soon as you notice so your teen’s teeth don’t begin to shift back into their original positions.
Are There Any Food Restrictions?
Your teen can continue to enjoy all of their favorite foods while in clear aligner treatment. As long as they take their aligners out before they eat and put them back in when they’re done, your teen can eat whatever they want. In other corrective treatments, hard, sticky, and chewy foods could break brackets and wires. With Invisalign and Spark, your teen has the flexibility to eat any treat without having to worry about damaging their appliance.
